The stock answer would be "it doesn't happen here ... we use K95 and trn
all the time and don't see this; it must be a coincidence." Really, a
failure to transmit keystrokes would be pretty catastrophic and if that
were happening I'm sure we'd know it by now, especially since we ourselves
are rather heavy users of host applications that use single-key commands,
like trn, EMACS, etc.
When trn seems to be ignoring single-character commands, it usually means
that it's waiting for something from the news server. In cases like this,
you often can't even tell whether you have typed a command, and then
sometimes type it again just to make sure, which generally does not have
the desired effect. If you run trn with the -v switch, commands are
verified immediately as soon as trn reads them. In that case, you can
tell that K95 is not delaying transmission of the character, but that trn
is waiting for something else, most likely the news server.
If this is not the correct diagnosis, please get back to us and we'll
investigate further.
